Conscious Energy
Many believe God is a form of Energy that possesses consciousness and awareness. This Energy is considered the fundamental essence of the universe, permeating all existence and imbuing it with purpose and order.
It's often described as an intelligent force that governs the workings of the cosmos. The Energy that keeps planets in their orbits and makes flowers grow.
Being raised Catholic, I was taught this concept and, beyond all religious dogma, believe it to be true. As conscious Energy, God would be omnipresent, existing everywhere and in everything. Our relationship with this Energy would be inherent and fundamental to our existence.
Just as we are made of atoms and molecules, we would also be infused with this Divine Energy at a fundamental level. One might think that God gives each of us one atom from the Divine Consciousness, allowing us to be conscious and aware of the magnificent creation that surrounds us.
Our relationship with God as Conscious Energy would involve recognizing and nurturing our connection to the Divine Essence. This could be through spiritual practices such as meditation, prayer, or acts of kindness and compassion.
The goal would be to align ourselves with the Divine Will and experience unity with all creation. Yet, we have free will that can lead us away from God and immerse us in the temptations of the physical.
Believers in this concept often see humans as co-creators with God. Through our thoughts, intentions, and actions, we can manifest and shape reality in alignment with Divine Principles.
This underscores the importance of mindfulness and ethical conduct in our lives, which give us the strength to stay the course of righteousness, move forward with kindness and compassion, and resist the seductions of the physical.
Just as we might seek guidance from a wise mentor or teacher, our relationship with God as Conscious Energy could involve seeking wisdom and insight from this Divine Source. This could be through moments of inspiration, intuition, or spiritual revelation.
The physical world has various obstacles, many of which are difficult to overcome. Life is an extraordinary challenge, and without God's presence, it is easy to stray.
Many spiritual traditions emphasize the idea that God is love and compassion personified. In our relationship with God as Conscious Energy, we strive to embody these qualities in our interactions with ourselves, others, and the world around us.
To truly appreciate the energetic nature of God, we can meditate and slow our thoughts to the point where we experience total silence, a state of pure awareness where nothing exists but the Energy of Consciousness.
Each of our thoughts is a reflection of us, but as they quietly fall away and become no more, there is only God's Consciousness, a vibrating energy that consumes our awareness. There, we experience nothing but the presence of God's Conscious Energy, what Eastern mystics call "Samadhi."
Meditation, as one of the ways of communing with Our Creator, allows us to experience God's essence, vibrating with ours, without interference from our thoughts. This is where we understand our connection with the Universal Consciousness, vibrating as one. "Be still and know that I Am God."
Every time we connect with God's Energy, our own energy rises a bit. This gives us more grace to grow into better spiritual beings, worthy of God's support and guidance, and helps us understand what it means to be divine.
Even as we try to understand and explain God as Conscious Energy, there is always some mystery and wonder left. Because this divine essence is infinite, our understanding will always be limited, which invites us to approach the divine with humility and awe.
We are told to "Know thyself." To know ourselves is to know God, since we are made in the image and likeness of the Supreme Consciousness. We are Conscious Energy like God, and the more we realize this, the clearer our relationship with the Supreme Being becomes.
In the end, seeing God as conscious energy helps us understand our connection to the universe and reveals our potential for spiritual growth and change.
Our relationship with the Divine Essence is built on respect, gratitude, and a desire to live by its higher principles. We should aim to become our best selves to reach the highest spiritual awareness and fully experience God’s Consciousness.
